Organizing Email

This page documents email organization for school emails. It seems there are so many emails from the school that some organization becomes crucial.

This page is initially written based on the 2023-24 school year. It can of course be updated in the future.

Folders

• Top level folder: 2023-24 School. This folder name starts with the year, to have it show up at the top; this is important when creating filters. Older years can be moved elsewhere in the folder tree.
• Second level: one folder per kid: Anderson, Jeferson, and Mélani.
• Also second level: school names: EMMS, HHES, and TVMS (trailer email from the previous year).
• Also second level: General for the emails that aren’t school specific.
• Third level: for each of the kids: a folder for each teacher or subject. These folders are named by the teacher’s name, with in parentheses the subject name (because who can remember which teacher is what subject).

Filters

Filters are used extensively to move emails to the right folder. Al filter names start with Archive HCPSS.
